The Hotel series was designed for hotels and aparthotels but is also easily applicable in household environments. Hotel constitutes a very rare case in which Vico Magistretti used an existing semi-processed material, and a standard trilobed glass electric insulator serving as a base for the table lamp. The frame was metal and the shade in glazed transparent polycarbonate (Makrofol), silk-screen printed with ivory pinholing in a cylindrical or truncated cylindrical version, with black electric cord. In 1990 it was also proposed in a pendant model (Hotel 402) for a brief period of time.
