Fondazione studio museo Vico Magistretti was set up in 2010 and it is dedicated to the Milanese architect and designer who contributed to create and spread internationally the Italian Design between the sixties and the nineties of the last century.
Triennale Milano, Artemide, Cassina (since 2019), De Padova, Flou and Oluce are the founders of the foundation since its inception.
Fondazione Vico Magistretti has its headquarters in the studio in Milan where Vico worked for all his career and where it is still preserved the extraordinary archive and heritage of projects and objects.
Fondazione Vico Magistretti preserves the historical archive of Vico Magistretti, that is the documentation (sketches, technical drawings, photographic prints, diapositives, negatives, correspondence, administrative documents, clippings of magazines and newspapers) produced by Studio Magistretti from 1946 to 2006. In 2007 the Lombardy Superintendent's Office for Archives declared the fund to be of special historical importance, acknowledging its cultural value and placing it under special protection.
