Wall bookcase
A ladder-shaped bookcase to be placed against a wall. It is one of the designs that resulted from the research into this typology that began with the models displayed at the RIMA Exhibition in 1946. It was produced by Guatelli and exhibited at the Single Piece of Furniture Exhibition organised by Fede Cheti in 1948. At the same Expo, Magistretti also displayed his mahogany and plywood stackable tables. This is how it was described in the Domus 234 issue of 1949: "With four points of contact, two of which on the wall and two on the floor, this extremely simple bookshelf is perfectly stable. It is well-sized, easy to use and economical; it is in wax-polished walnut and beech wood."
