A simple object, the arm chair is characterised by the elementary geometry of the frame and its essential nature, also expressed through the choice of materials: ash wood for the frame and the upholstered or straw seat. As stated by D. Baroni (1982): "On the contrary, the semantic weight is great: this chair is almost the didactic demonstration of how to make an elegant and comfortable seat, solid and economical, with a few essential strokes where the figurative design lies on the ease of manufacturing and the natural essence of the material used." After eliminating the arms and making the seat different through the use of plywood, the model thus becomes stackable and turns into the chair model 909.
