Samarcanda is an easily stackable system of drawers and containers that can compose living-room furniture, chests of drawers, tables and desks. It is a system of self-standing drawers made of beech multi-layered plywood lacquered with polyurethane paint in black and white that can be freely stacked and combined. Placed on top of a base (4 cm high and fitted with little cylinders to move on), the drawers have a standard depth (cm 53.5) but different height (11 cm and 17 cm) and width (72 cm and 107 cm) and can be combined in many different ways, also playing on the difference of colour. A 2 cm-thick top screws onto the top-most drawer.
