The movable shelf bookcase manufactured by Crespi of Milan, was displayed at the RIMA Exhibition in 1946 (presumably in the professional's home designed by Magistretti and Gandolfi). It is supported by two patented struts which are kept pressure-tight between the ceiling and the floor, without affecting or modifying either of the two because the base and the top, in painted aluminium, have a rubber sheet covering the contact surface. The pressure that assures stability to the struts is obtained through a screw inserted in the base. The strut is variable in height and can have additional applications, such as supporting exhibition panels, showcases, and permanent or temporary divisions.
