Shigeto
The Shigeto system consists of a large cherrywood cupboard (in two depths: the 45 cm depth is organised with an inside closet rod and a two-drawer chest of drawers) mounted on rubber wheels that follows up with the research into a typology of containers on polyfunctional wheels such as the Reflex wheels. In the De Padova philosophy, which is also in line with Magistretti's approach, furnishings must adapt to different contexts, making the Shigeto Box open bookcase the solution to furnish a study or office. The Shigeto Box, again in cherrywood but fitted with a number of exterior drawers in silver-anodized aluminium, was designed in four models: open, open with two central drawers, open with three central drawers with fittings for hanging files, open with two central drawers and two lateral dividers for hanging files. The system was completed in 1992 with a double bed headboard in American cherrywood and panels in aniline-dyed and wax-polished American cherrywood, to be fixed directly to the wall.
