From the second half of the ?80s, Magistretti progressively designed a full-fledged collection of household objects for De Padova, which started with Vidun. In Milanese, the NAME means big screw; it derives from the system used to move the table top vertically taken from traditional work tables, which were fitted with the large brightly coloured trestle legs. The ?Vidun', NAMEly the large wooden screw, is the table's principal feature and the first prototype was made by master woodworker Pierluigi Ghianda.

"It is always the conceptual detail that draws people's attention," Magistretti used to say. "I have always paid attention to the objects from an anonymous tradition. I am interested in not forgetting history, redesigning the excellent traditional models so as to not let them die as a species on the verge of extinction. Adjusted to our needs, they bring to the present a memory that would otherwise be lost."
