Spigo

The line of furniture called "Intorno al Letto" ("Around the Bed") was completed after the Spigo bed and Spigolino bedside table. It consists of: Spigo 1, a bedside table; Spigo 2 a chest of drawers; Spigo 3 a highboy chest of drawers; and Spigo 4, a chest. Linear and simple in design, they bear similarities with the elegance of the Shakers furniture and are made in solid American cherrywood, with its warm colour highlighted thanks to the virgin beeswax hand-polishing. Some of the details include: the bedside table is fitted with small extractable drawers that turn into breakfast trays; the chest of drawers consists of just a few lines, simple and essential; the verticality of the highboy chest of drawers is in contrast with the horizontality of the drawers and with the soft grain of solid cherrywood.
