Magistretti designed the lamp by combining a section of a sphere, used as the diffuser, topped by another geometric section of the same figure but mounted upside-down, with the concave section looking upwards to the ceiling. Simple and extremely well balanced, the Cetra, in lacquered metal, uses an anti-glare opaline ball in plain sight as already experimented in his previous lamps Omega and Clinio and the following hanging versions.
