The lamp features an internally frosted glass diffuser (already used in Omega and subsequently also in the Clinio and Erse lamps) produced by "horizontally removing two slices from a smoked glass sphere placed around an inner opaline globe", supported by a crossed brass sheet frame connected to a rigid stem; the diffuser is connected to the frame by four brass clasps. Clitunno was included in Artemide's Modern Classics, "bearing witness to the first ten years of Artemide's history and the worldwide success of Italian industrial design." (Artemide Modern Classic catalogue 1999).
