The synthesis of elegance and simplicity, this family of lamps emitting direct and diffused light is composed of a methacrylate cone and a black-painted metal sphere: the cone, by virtue of gravity and without the use of screws, rests on the sphere that in turn supports the lamp holder. The resulting shape of the hanging model recalls the old English green lamps in dressmaker's shops. The methacrylate always has an opal finish. The lamp hangs exclusively on the electric cable, which is also black. The hemispherical ceiling clamp was specifically designed in black metal and subsequently in PVC. In 2007, the hanging model (401) was re-edited in a dimension of 92 cm, in agreement with Magistretti's heirs, as was on demand at the time of Vico Magistretti, but which was not possible to technically make at the time. The floor lamp model (301 C/P) initially featured a steel stem with brushed nickel finish and a metal cone-shaped base lined with opal methacrylate, and was later made with a black lacquered stem and with the base either cone-shaped or cylindrical in white marble; the table lamp model (201) modified the length of the stem and immediately featured a black lacquered structure on a white marble base and used two lightbulbs. The table and floor lamps used two packaging systems (one exclusively for the diffuser) while the hanging lamp used a single packaging.
