The project involved the construction of a safe deposit vault for an unidentified Milan branch of the Credito Varesino bank with which Magistretti had established a long-lasting collaboration, starting in the fifties.
The sketches in the archive clearly show the architect's interest in the stairs, details of elements including IDENTIFICATION plaques, furniture (tables and chairs), and the floor of the small room.
The new stairs to the vault - a curvilinear flight of steps projecting out from shaped landings - was probably also designed by Magistretti.
