The project involved the general redesign of the layout of the apartment of the Di Marco family: this included substantial changes to the entrance area and living room now separated by a full height glass wall instead of the former solid wall. A small depressed arch was inserted above the entrance door; a system of shelves and lights made with the same materials used for the new furnishings was inserted in the space between the arch and the ceiling; a new lighting system was installed throughout the apartment.

Most of the custom-built furnishings were positioned in two separate areas: the living room, with its curved corner seat and two chairs placed next to a library wall, and the dining room where Magistretti designed a beautiful table (with a central metal support); the table could be extended when necessary thanks to two curved side wings which, when closed, create the sides of the table.

The other key element of the design was the closet for the servants' bedroom with a hidden pull-down bed.
